Founded in 1997 as an Internet marketing strategy and web development company, eonBusiness has assisted many entrepreneurs in launching, developing and growing various web-based businesses. Our early success assisting others prompted us to make direct investments in and to operate our own e-commerce businesses, beginning as early as 1999. Since that time, we have developed, invested in and operated numerous successful Internet service and e-commerce businesses, some of which have been acquired.
eonCapital Venture Fund I
Our experience working with and in start-up businesses, prompted us to establish an initial private venture fund. eonCaptital Venture Fund I makes supportive investments in seed and early-stage Software as a Service (SaaS) and mobile application businesses. Like the creative entrepreneur, we saw a problem and desired a solution. Our goal is to help fill the funding gap for entrepreneurs of seed and early-stage companies. As entrepreneurs, we understood what it takes to build a company from the ground up and the challenges presented from concept through development and into the growth phase.
While funding is often necessary, it is not the only answer. The key to success is in the execution. Great concepts die due to mediocre execution. In addition to funding, we add value to and enhance execution by participating in strategic planning, providing follow-on funding, and introducing new funding sources to our portfolio companies.
eonCapital Venture Fund II
We are pleased to announce the establishment of eonBusiness' second venture capital fund - eonCapital Venture Fund II. This fund will leverage the investment philosophy and success of our first fund - eonCapital Venture Fund I. Fund II will have a similar investment focus, and will allow us to capitalize on the full funding gap between $250,000 and $3 million investments in seed and early stage SaaS and mobile application companies.
